Getting Started with Therapy
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, but you don’t have to figure it out alone.
Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, burnt out, stuck, or simply unsure where to begin, I’m here to support you through the process. My goal is to make your first experience with therapy feel welcoming, low-pressure, and doable.
Who I Work With
I offer telehealth therapy for adults located in Texas, Colorado, and Florida. Sessions are typically 53 to 55 minutes, conducted through secure, HIPAA-compliant video. If you're navigating anxiety, insomnia, chronic health issues, or big life transitions—and want care that respects your pace and complexity—you’re in the right place.
How to Get Started
1. Schedule a Free 15-Minute Consultation
This no-cost call gives you space to ask questions, share what you're looking for, and get a sense of whether we’re a good fit. It’s not a therapy session, but it’s a gentle first step toward support.
2. Explore Insurance and Payment Options
We'll walk through your insurance or private pay options during the consultation. I'm in-network with a wide range of plans, including Aetna, BCBS, Cigna, United, Humana, and more. Because coverage can vary, we’ll verify what your specific plan includes.
3. Complete Secure Intake Paperwork
After the consultation, you'll receive a secure link to fill out forms at your own pace. Once complete, we’ll schedule your first full session.
What Therapy Looks Like
My approach is flexible, collaborative, and responsive to your goals. Depending on your needs, therapy may include:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Mindfulness-based practices
Solution-focused strategies
A mix of other evidence-based methods tailored to you
No pressure. No one-size-fits-all path. Just space to breathe, process, and begin again, with support. For additional information, check out the Therapy FAQs.
